GENERAL INFORMATION

We hope everyone is prepared for our big blowout October 20 - 22.  This Page is intended to keep you updated on our 60 Year Reunion information. Please check back occasionally for any updates.

Thursday, October 20:

  • All day:  Self-guided walk about UTEP campus & El Paso
  • 3:00pm -10:00 pm: Trolley Rides (See enclosed route map and Places of Interest)
    • On your own
    • Trolley is free
    • Board trolley outside hotel at corner of University and Oregon
  • Hospitality Suite (Room 514) Hours:  3:30- 11:00 pm

 

Friday, October 21:

  • All Day:  Self-guided walk about UTEP campus & El Paso
  • 3:00pm -10:00 pm: Trolley Rides (See enclosed route map and Places of Interest)
    • On your own
    • Trolley is free
    • Board trolley outside hotel at corner of University and Oregon
  • 6:00pm-10:00pm Mexican Fiesta at Lee’s

    • Reunion check in starts at 6:00
    • Goody Bag distribution

Saturday, October 22:

  • All Day: Self-guided walk about UTEP campus & El Paso
  • 10:00 am -1:00 pm: EPHS Campus Tour and EPHS Alumni Museum Viewing
    • Park at Fine Arts Bldg parking lot off Schuster (past library/cafeteria bldg.)
    • Meet at EPHS Alumni Museum (old custodian house at SW corner of campus)
  • 3:00pm – 10:00pm: Trolley Rides (See enclosed route map and Places of Interest)
    • On your own
    • Trolley is free
    • Board trolley outside hotel at corner of University and Oregon

Saturday October 22 (continued)

  • 6:00 pm- 11:00 pm: Dinner Dance
    • 6:00-11:00 Cash Bar
    • 7:00 Dinner
    • 8:00 -11:00 Dancing
  • Hospitality Suite (Room 514) Hours:  2:00 – 4:00 pm and 11:00 – midnight

 

Sunday, October 23:

  • All day Self- guided walk about UTEP campus & El Paso
  • 7:00 am -11:00 am Good bye breakfast
    • Free for hotel guests
    • $14.99 for non- hotel guests
  • Noon-6:00 pm Trolley Rides (see enclosed map & Places of Interest)

DRESS CODE FOR PARTIES

Friday Night - Casual. But remember, El Paso gets pretty chilly at night in October.

Saturday Night - No Flip Flops or Shorts.  Other that that, wear what's comfortable.

 

 

Places of Interest in El Paso

Here are some places you might want to check out during your free time.  All are within walking distance of a Streetcar Stop (see map) or our Hotel.  For those of you driving, there is paid parking available near each venue.

El Paso Museum of Art, 1 Arts Festival Plaza, Wed – Sat 10am – 6pm

Arts District Streetcar Stop

El Paso Museum of History, 510 N. Santa Fe, Wed – Sat 10am – 6pm

Cleveland Square Streetcar Stop

Free Admission – Donations Accepted

 

El Paso Holocaust Museum & Study Center, 715 N. Oregon St.

Wed – Fri 9am -5pm; Sat 1 – 5 pm

Arts District or Yandell Trolley Stop

Free Admission – Donations Accepted

 

Centennial Museum & Chihuahuan Desert Gardens, Mon – Sat 10am – 4pm

610 W. University Ave., UTEP Campus

While downtown, you may also want to stroll into the refurbished Plaza Hotel and the El Paso del Norte Hotel.  Both have been restored beautifully. Then take in San Jacinto Plaza, which has also been updated, but no more live Alligators, only a sculpture.  Enjoy!
